Integrating Technology Group A would like to welcome you to our online resource wiki. After you navigate to the Resources Page (see link on the right side of the page), you will find a list of the resources we have included along with a that resources rating.
Our rating system has three parts: content coverage, student independence, and classroom usefulness. The content coverage rating will be based on the resources completeness. For example, if the resource will help throughout an entire course, it will receive a 4 out of 4, but if it will only be useful in a specific area of a course, it will be rated lower. The student independence rating will help teacher determine if it is a resource that students can safely navigate on their own, or if students will need to be watched because of various reasons. And lastly, the classroom usefulness rating will describe the resource's overall usefulness for a classroom lesson, discussion, or homework.
Thank you for visiting our wiki, and we hope that you will find something that is helpful to you.
Our Group Contributors:
Ben Hanson I have been teaching high school chemistry and physics in south Texas for the past 5 years. You may recognize me as Mr. Sir from the edublog 'Solving Life's Problems - One Post at a Time'. In addition to teaching, I also coach cross country and soccer. My soccer team just made it to the playoffs for the first time in school history. I recently got back from a trip to Acapulco but unfortunately I left my phone at the hotel. If anyone needs to get reach me, my email address is Benjamin.Hanson@WaldenU.edu.
Finally, here is the bonus question of the week. On my blog (http://hans1648.edublogs.org/) there is a picture. Can you identify this world famous (or at least North American famous) body of water? First one that does wins a virtual beer.
John Edmonds I have been teaching middle school math in Columbus, Ohio for 4 years. Along with teaching, I coach high school baseball as the junior varsity head coach. I have a passion to improve my teaching every year that I teach. I have been integrating Smart Technologies into my classroom everyday, but through this course, am working on how I can integrate blogging and other online resources into my classroom on a regular basis.
Steven Fitch I am currently an Anatomy and Physiology teacher in a charter school in South Los Angeles. While here I have been able to work closely with instructional advisers in adapting new technologies in the classroom. This program should help me with those tools.
I have coached baseball as well as been an athletic director in some of the schools that I have worked in. It is important to me that I help kids reach their goals while including extra curricular activities along with their daily instruction.
